Join me, the Mono Lake Committee’s Lead Naturalist Guide, on one or more virtual seminars that explore the important basic topics of ornithology, the study of birds, in our new virtual seminar offerings this spring. These virtual seminars will broaden your knowledge of important foundations of ornithology that can be applied to every bird you see, and I’ll be using examples of birds local to the Mono Basin to help prepare you for your next visit. Each seminar includes a 50–60 minute lecture, a Q&A session, and take-home exercises to apply your newfound knowledge to your backyard birds.
Each seminar is $25 for individuals or $40 for a couple or household, with a 10% discount for Mono Lake Committee members. You can also sign up for all six seminars at once for a discounted $135 for individuals and $225 for a couple or household, with an added 10% off for Committee members when you enter promo code MEMBER. These virtual seminars are limited to 20 people. We expect participants to attend the seminars live, but if something comes up and prevents live attendance, we will be recording the seminars and they will be available to participants for one week after the date of the seminar.
Virtual seminars are a new addition to our program and we are excited to share them with you! We are also planning a limited number of in-person seminars this year, which will be listed online here on March 15.
